Scotch-Brite™ Molding Adhesive and Stripe Removal Disc was designed to help you remove unwanted details with efficiency and ease. Ease of Use Scotch-Brite™ Molding Adhesive and Stripe Removal Disc is a solid, molded rubber wheel that can efficiently remove unwanted vinyl stripes, numbers, letters and graphics – wearing adhesive moldings and stripes away by way of friction. The disc creates friction and heat as it spins in order to cleanly remove adhesives and stripes. Subsequently, prep work with heat tools – like blow dryers, heat lamps and guns – is no longer needed, helping to increase productivity and speed the removal process. Now, you can easily remove details without having to prep the workpiece with heat tools or messy spray and gel compounds. The disc will not gouge, mar or dent non-heat-sensitive surfaces that lie beneath the decals, which is why it is often used on non-heat-sensitive gel coats, acrylic enamels and urethane paints. MOS for this disc is <4000 RPM, allowing it to be used with various tools, including slow speed grinders or portable drills. Scotch-Brite™ Molding Adhesive and Stripe Removal Disc is roughly an inch thick and - as a solid molded product - is dense, durable and long lasting. The narrow width lends itself to removing small straight lines, such as pin stripping.
