It is connected to an existing rough-in or a water connection on the wall (e.g. hansgrohe FixFit) with a second shower hose. The overhead or hand shower (sold separately) can then be selected at the push of a button using the hansgrohe Select button. The water volume and temperature are controlled separately via an existing fitting.
